New Clients

Many major insurances are accepted. If your insurance is not one in network with Zola Counseling, you can pay our self-pay rate or utilize your out of network benefits. Please be prepared to discuss your insurance carrier and mental health benefits when you schedule your new client appointment.

Insurances accepted:

BCBS, Carolina Behavioral Health Alliance (CBHA), Cigna, Medcost, and United Healthcare

*Our therapists are not all in network with the same insurance providers. Please check with the individual therapist you are scheduling with to see if you insurance is one that they are able to accept. We can courtesy file most out of network claims on your behalf. Please check with your individual therapist to inquire about their self-pay rates if you are using out of network benefits or wishing to self-pay.*

At the time of your appointment, payment will be accepted by cash, check, debit, or most major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express).

What to Expect at your first appointment

The first appointment is with caregivers and clinician only.  During this intake appointment, caregivers will have a chance to see the play area, as well as have an hour to discuss primary concerns and treatment goals.  Be prepared to discuss symptoms, developmental milestones, family history, educational history, medical history, current medications, previous testing/treatment, etc.  After the caregiver only intake is completed, your child can be scheduled for sessions to begin working on treatment goals.
